About Zora
Fun, safe and stimulating small group walks (four dogs maximum) in the local south downs park and woodland with me - Zora, in Brighton. Please get in touch with me on Gudog to arrange a meet and greet as I always come to meet new clients free of charge and answer any questions you have about me too.
I am a full member of the Pet Professional Guild, a friend of the INTO Dogs Association, fully insured, DBS checked, Dog 1st Aid qualified, certified in Canine Behaviour & Psychology.
I have twenty years experience with dogs and have worked with street dogs in Bulgaria, The RSPCA, Brighton Retired Greyhounds and currently volunteer at Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare. I had have a real passion for all dogs since I was a bubba, I am a hopeless romantic over lurchers and sight hounds and have a special interest in rescue dogs.
I love nothing more than getting out walking dogs and use my skills and studies to make sure we always have a safe, fun and well managed time out.
I do offer sitting and boarding services but only to dogs that I walk, so that I am confident they get on well with my two lovely rescue lurchers before coming to stay in our home.
Why choose Me?
Safety in numbers:
I only walk a maximum of 4 dogs per walk because I put the health and safety of my dogs first. This is the number that I can comfortably manage all on the lead at once, which means my dogs can be safely controlled at any time. I believe that it is essential to be able to keep my dogs safe in ALL circumstances; for example, loading in and out at the car park, if we come across another dog that is acting aggressively, or if a dog is injured and needs attention.
Accidents:
I am trained in canine first aid and carry a canine first aid kit in my vehicle.
Lone Rangers:
I supply ID tags for each dog so that I can be contacted in the unlikely event that your dog becomes separated from me.
Safe and comfortable transport:
We travel in a spacious, air-conditioned MPV fitted with with bespoke, adjustable, quality, crash tested crates and a 12 volt fan. This means that my dogs are always cool or warm enough, and comfortable whilst being near to me and able to see where they are going. In the summer I also use sun shades inside the windows. I even play relaxing dog music in the back of the vehicle to help calm nervous travellers from time to time!
The fun stuff!
I spend a minimum of an hour walking, which excludes any travel or cleaning up time. I vary our walking spots and routes to avoid walks becoming boring and predictable. We play games and use training whilst walking to increase stimulation and positive interactions. I always have a supply of fresh water so all the dogs are refreshed and hydrated after each walk.
Disgusting habits...
I carry a stack of clean towels and pet wipes for those dogs that enjoy a good roll! Although I can't guarantee perfection I do my best to deliver your dog home clean, dry and poo-free.
