About Anneli
*** 19 October 2021 - We're currently at full capacity, and we want to make sure we can accommodate the dogs we've already had a Meet and Greet with, so we've decided to temporarily stop accepting new meet and greets. Please check in later in the autumn/winter for more updates ***

Hello! We're Anneli & Paul, and we're a Swedish/British couple in our 40's, and we are offering one-to-one home boarding for dogs in our home. We are currently 'dogless', and love looking after dogs. We have no kids, and we are non-smokers.
*Please note*
We require a Meet and Greet before any dogs come to stay, to make sure your dog feels comfortable in our home. Please do not book directly without contacting us to arrange this first.

We lost our beloved Cassius in 2013, a 13 year old rescue labrador, after having 8 wonderful years with him. We would love the opportunity to pass our love, care and affection on to your precious dogs. It gives us a much needed "dog fix" as we are not looking to get a new dog of our own just yet; we would like to do some more travelling first.
We spent the spring 2014 as house sitters through trustedhousesitters.com, looking after 1 Bull mastiff, 1 American Mastiff, 1 Bull Mastiff/Staffy cross, 1 Akita and also a little Yorkie. Since then, we have continued boarding and occasionally house sitting for the above mentioned dogs and also several lurchers (collie x whippet, greyhound x saluki x deerhound), a staffy, a border collie, a cockapoo, an English bulldog, and a jug.
Anneli: I work completely from home as a Swedish language trainer online, so I am always at home. I can give your dog 3-4 walks per day (early morning, lunch time, late afternoon and late evening), regardless of my work schedule. I have a dog friendly sofa in my office, so your dog may even get to learn some Swedish!
Paul: I work as a general manager within the food and drinks industry. I work mostly from home. I am also a member of a dog friendly golf club a 10 min car journey away!
We live in a 2 bed terraced house in central Brighton, only 1 minute walk from a large dog friendly park, 10 min walk from Queen's Park and about 15 min walk from Brighton beach. We have a decked outdoor space (pic 7) with a small 'doggy pee' area with chipped wood (pic 8). We also have a car (+ doggy car seat belt) so we are within driving distance from South Downs.
Due to our circumstances, we are currently not boarding younger dogs (puppies and 'toddlers'), and all our furry guests must be well-behaved and toilet trained. We are totally fine with adult as well as older, more frail ones, and we are used to administer tablets and oral medicines, as well as care for dogs with arthritis, hip dysplasia, skin-related/allergy issues and general age-related illnesses.
Check-in: early afternoon and onwards
Check-out: midday (by the latest)
We require a Meet and Greet before any dogs come to stay, to make sure your dog feels comfortable in our home. Just get in touch and we'll get it booked in.
Looking forward to hear from you!
