About Charlotte
Hello! I'm a 24 year old music graduate living in Fallowfield, I am currently pet sitting part time as I am working towards doing a second degree in Canine Behaviour and Training so am studying the basics of this/animal health & other animal/agricultural related subjects.
I have been pet sitting with Rover for nearly 2 years and have met some amazing animals so I'm hoping to continue this whilst putting my pooch studies into practice!
I understand that to pet owners, animals are more than just their pets and I will always treat them like they are my own and give them the best possible care. I do all I can to be kind, patient and understanding when it comes to animals (even the REALLY stubborn ones) and their safety will always be my highest priority. However I know that pets can, and will, get themselves into trouble sometimes so I have a full pet first aid kit just in case any accidents do happen!
I have grown up around dogs and cats since I was very young and have been hooked on animal care ever since my mum brought home two kittens from the vet surgery she worked at when I was 4 years old. Throughout my life I have worked in kennels, small animal/equine vet surgeries and have spent as much time with animals as I was physically able! In my home town in Cheshire I worked as a dog walker/pet sitter so I have had experience caring for a multitude of pets, stubborn/boisterous dogs are no issue as I was accustomed to them very early on in my career and in my opinion they are far more entertaining!
Size doesn't matter! All dogs are wonderful and I have no issues with caring for larger pooches, Alaskan Malamutes are my ultimate favourite breed and caring for them has been a highlight of my career so far!
However I've also looked after reptiles, rabbits, kittens and have my own two dogs back home - Jasmine our border collie x Jack Russell who is too clever for her own good & can smell a tennis ball from halfway across the country, and Lena our bichon frise x westie x poodle who wants nothing more than a knee to sit on and a scratch behind the ears. In addition to them, we have a bearded dragon called Frank who very much enjoys canine company and George, my ball python who is very curious but likes to keep to himself for the most part, he is very small, shy and kept well away from the pooches to alleviate any concerns!
I also have a dedicated dog walking/pet sitting instagram which you are more than welcome to have a look at & obviously if you aren't happy for your pet to be shared online please let me know! I will always send you photos of your pet however some owners prefer this via whatsapp which is why it does not say so on my profile!
Due to my schedule I am available Mondays, Tuesdays and weekends during term times but I will be back to full time in the holidays.
