Hi I’m Caitlin. I own two dogs of my own, huskies, so I have personal experience caring for and walking dogs, especially larger and more difficult dogs. Huskies tend to pull a lot so I am used to stronger dogs and am capable of handling them. One of my dogs was a rescue and had food aggression and many behavioural issues when he arrived so I am confident handling dogs that may be more “difficult”.
I have also worked at a dog groomers and a dog daycare centre so I have professional experience and am comfortable working with and around many different breeds, sizes, and temperaments of dogs. Many of them were senior dogs, blind, deaf, arthritic etc so I am used to working with dogs that have special needs. I also took an animal management and behaviour course at college so I have both the knowledge of animal welfare and behaviour and the practical experience.
I also will dog sit but usually only at your house as my two dogs play rough and I don’t want to risk your dog getting accidentally hurt, especially if you own a smaller dog. If you have a larger dog that is comfortable around other larger dogs I will consider boarding them at my house. I will treat your pets as if they are my own as I know how important they are!
