Patch is a 10 year old lurcher boy we adopted just over a year ago from West Cumbria Animal Concern. He used to live outside and was a working hunting dog (so he isn't suitable for a house with cats or small furries) but is perfectly house trained. He walks really well on the lead and rarely barks (although he does get vocal sometimes with whines etc). He is a lovely snuggly boy with people and will happily snuggle on the couch for hours with his nose tucked into your side <3 He's not so good with other dogs unfortunately, and whilst he is often fine with dogs that are submissive or quieter, if a young boisterous male dog invades his personal space he will growl at them - for this reason I keep him on a short lead if people have out of control dogs that are likely to crowd him. Once he gets to know you his recall is fantastic but until then he will stubbornly pretend he can't hear you. We don't have kids and don't have much social contact with young families, but the resuce home we got him from say he is fine with children.
