Leia is a timid and skittish little girl who had a traumatic start to life on the streets of Romania. If you move too suddenly, or bring strangers into the house who stand around in their coats, she gets scared, and cowers as if she is expecting to be hit. We adopted her in Sept 2017 and she has grown in confidence but is still a bit nervy. She is a very loving and gentle little dog with our 3 children ( : 6, 9 and 15 years old ) and prefers and trusts ladies primarily. She has bonded very closely to me, and likes to follow me from room to room. She is very submissive and gets on her back for tummy rubs a lot. She sheds quite a bit so needs daily combing, which she tolerates. She likes grated cheese in her 2 meals of dry kibble every day. She usually has a long walk in the mornings after the school drop off, down to Sefton Park, and then just likes to relax for the rest of the day basking in the sun in our little bark garden, or on the couch, or a bed upstairs. She is happiest with company, and is now used to have me at home most of the day, most days, so preferably she'd like to be looked after a lady who is at home most of the time, and to be the only dog.
