About Kurt
We’ve both grown up around dogs and Kurt (my partner) has helped look after his family’s four dogs (including two rescues) since he was a teenager.
As adults, we’ve spent several years pet and house-sitting professionally, caring for dogs, cats and even the odd horse in other people’s homes. We’re confident with rescue animals and have lots of experience giving nervous pets the extra time and care they need to feel safe.
These days, we’re settled in a terraced house with a fully fenced back garden, loads of indoor space, and direct access to woodland walks - ideal for active dogs and fresh-air snuffles. We’re also used to hosting dogs overnight, managing complicated feeding routines, and administering medication if needed.
Kurt works full time from home as a freelancer and loves any excuse to step away from his desk for a walk or a cuddle. Helen works full time too, with three days a week spent at home. Your dog (or cat) will always have company, and we’re able to give them attention throughout the day - we don’t do loads of meetings or calls, so we’re very present and hands-on.
We’d love to have our own dog but can’t commit long term just yet, so being able to look after yours is the next best thing!
