About Marie

I grew up surrounded by animals, especially as I grew up taking care of a golden retriever, Buddy. I took care of him for 10 years before moving to London. My experience taking care of Buddy includes: - Taking him on walks 4 times a day, starting at 7am in the morning before his breakfast. I especially enjoyed taking him on hour-long walks to the park to play fetch and socialise with other dogs. - Prepare the food twice a day, breakfast and dinner - Taking him to the vet when i suspected he was snot feeling well or for regular check ups - basic training, teaching my dig how to sit and bring back the ball In addition to taking care of Buddy, my golden retriever, i am used to dog sitting with neighbors. I build great relationships with dogs and care for them like my own. I have experience taking dogs that were not my own on long walks in the park and even to the vet if and when needed. Since moving to London, I have missed taking care of a dog which is why I would love to become a dog sitter. I work full time 2 days out of 5 from home which means my availability would be mostly on the weekends (all day) and I can be flexible 2 days in the week. When working from home, i have a garden to accomodate but i am also available to cover morning (7 am), lunch (12) and late afternoon (6pm) walks. I live in Belsize Park, very close to Hampstead Heath where I am used to go on walks and runs. It is a great area to take care of dogs as it is very green. I live with my partner who also grew up taking care of a dog at home and had a similar experience than the one i describe. My partner is an entrepreneur and therefore is very flexible with dates and times. He is able to work from home as and when needed. With the two of us at home, we are more flexible and we are able to commit to boarding dogs as we can navigate emergencies more easily. We do not have children. I live on the ground floor of a 80m2 flat that includes a 70 m2 garden. Our living room is spacious and has wooden floors. If we were to dog sit over night, we would ensure the dog sleeps comfortably in the living room on a rug. If the dog is anxious, we are used to also sleeping with dogs in our bedroom. When dog sitting over night previously, i have always ensured i leave water during the night available. Please let me know if you require further information.
