My name is Megan and I live in Hayes End with my two little rescue Jack Russells.
I have grown up with dogs all of my life, meaning I am comfortable and confident around all breeds and temperaments, and generally just thrive around canine company!
I have experience as a Dog Walker for a small company in Islington where I walked up to 6 dogs at any one time, come rain or shine.
I currently work for a Mental Health Charity and do this from home 2/3 days each week. My work is flexible and means I will be able to accommodate most dog walking times/ needs. I can walk dogs alone, or alongside my Jack Russells - depending on which would work best for the dog/owner.
I will also be able to provide day care for dogs on my wfh days, providing them with lots of attention throughout their stay. My Jack Russells can initially seem nervous when a dog is approaching the house, but once inside, they are instantly comfortable, curious, and friendly with other dogs,
I live in a 3 bedroom semi-detached house with my mother and brother who both work full-time out of the house, so will have no involvement.
The house has a large living area, kitchen, and conservatory, with comfortable furnishings that dogs are welcome to lounge over!
We have a decent sized garden which backs on to a large open green space. There is also 2 large parks less than a 5 minute walk away.
I don't drive, but am happy to cycle up to 30 mins each way to pick up dogs for walks. I am also happy and confident taking dogs on public transport if this is ever requested.
In summary - I am absolutely dog obsessed and would love the opportunity to spend more time with some lovely pooches, while at the same time providing help to devoted dog owners. Given the emotional challenges of my current Mental Health role, I think a few dog walks each day would give add some positive energy to my days!
