About Larissa

Hello, my name is Larissa and i am an aspiring veterinary surgeon. I have done around a week of work experience at a kennels observing basic behaviour of dogs and cats. I have done dog boarding since September 2023 and have enjoyed it so much! Im very responsible and like to stick to what pets are used to with their owners. For example, if you walk your dog at a specific time, i tend to walk them at the same time to keep them as comfortable as i can. I have a dog of my own which is a female unspayed Sproodle. She is friendly and will not bite even if agitated. I keep a close eye on every dog i care for to ensure they are safe especially when in the garden and around other dogs. I am 18 years old and i am a very kind hearted person who has always loved animals since i was very little. I always treat these pets as my own to ensure they leave as happy as they can be. I give these pets lots of love and will put them before me. I hope you are interested in me for the job! I am available basically any time every day and tend to do a meet and greet before i care for a pet. I ask for a form of Id to take a photo of it beforehand for safety reasons. I always keep a close eye on any pets at my house and at the owner’s house. I put the pet before myself and give them lots of love. I am a patient and kind person who has had quite a lot of experience in caring for pets in the past few months. In September 2024, i plan to go to university so its most likely i cannot do pet sitting starting from September 2024 unless i am still in the same house. As a sitter, i have come across dogs with different personalities. From dogs who cannot settle and are very energetic, to dogs who are calm and sociable and prefer to stay still the whole day. I have dealt with oral medication in dogs and any cranky behaviour. I give dogs nice walks along the countryside on the leash. For me, it has been a great experience and i hope to continue this experience with pet sitting. Dogs usually sleep in either my living room or my bedroom. If your dog is used to sleeping in beds, i am open to have them sleeping on my bed. If they sleep in their own bed, that is ok too. Dogs usually tend to pee around the house that they aren’t used to. If your dog does this, there are dog nappies in my house that can be used to stop accidents. My house is medium and we have a pretty large garden with no grass. I do not mind dogs sitting on the sofas. We have three bedrooms, one living room, a toilet room and bathroom, stairs and hallway, kitchen and a garden with high fences.
